QSRP 2022 Sustainability Report

I am very proud of the progress we have made over the past year on our social responsibility journey. This would not have been possible without the determination, dedication and innovative approach of everyone in the QSRP network, who have worked so hard to help us reach our goals and update our roadmap for the future. While we've come a long way in recent years, we recognize that there is still a long way to go. Since we published our first ESG report, a year ago, our journey to achieve our goals has been set against the backdrop of a challenging year and a period of constant change with the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine and evolving regulations.

However, despite this dynamic environment, we achieved most of our ambitious targets set for 2022. This success has also helped us become an active player in the industry and a leader in using business as a force for good.

From expanding our plant-based offering and re-designing our supply chain, to reimagining how our restaurants are built, we’re constantly evolving to reduce our impact and support the transformation of the industry as a whole. Specifically, we have reached the first milestones of our sustainability journey with eleven targets of our ESG Plan already achieved, strengthened our internal governance and partnerships through the development of a set of dedicated policies, progressed our journey to mitigate single-use plastic and intensified our commitment towards a diverse and inclusive workforce.We are actively cooperating with our business partners (suppliers, franchisees, landlords etc) in order to take advantage of our, and their, knowhow to make this journey even more positively impactful.

We want to be active actors of change, instead of waiting for laws and regulations before we act. We are conscious of the resources we use and of our impact on both communities and the environment, and we hope our work can be a blueprint to be followed by others in order to change the industry for the better.

As we look to the year ahead, we're excited to be strengthening our commitment to future generations by continuing our collaboration with universities and introducing many young colleagues into our organisation. By bringing different attitudes, skills and knowledge this next generation of QSRP employees will enrich our comprehension of the environment, help us to think outside the box and bring new perspectives to our projects. This is vital energy to deliver our growth, numbers and actions and deliver a positive impact on communities and the planet.

The 2022 updated ESG report outlines our successes and progress in our journey to long-term growth and a more sustainable business. It shows just how far we have come on our ESG journey and demonstrates our continued commitment to achieving a net positive environmental impact, providing good food for all, working with sustainable partners and leading on diversity and inclusion across our brands and businesses.
